I agree,  primarily, with Jim. I figured maybe there were good reasons to
drive. Fear of flying, very large body, preference, etc.

But, without one of those incentives, it doesn't make sense. AAA's fuel
calculator website says it'll cost $500-some for half the gas out there and
back.

But it's a helluva fun drive. I've done it. "America's Loneliest Highway"
is beautiful. It's worth the trip, IMO.
