I should have mentioned in my last reply, but my guess is that Brian
just has the LUG mailing list email on his own mailing list of
organizations for people who might have some interest in programming.
If that is true (did the TCLUG also get the same email?), then it should
be assumed that it is a violation of basically any mailing list's
rules. The purpose of a mailing list is to give individuals the ability
to share information. A mailing list should never be the target of
*another* mailing list.
