In debian jessie I get the following during the install
 unable to set password for the mysql "root" user

This is a clean install. Mysql is one of the dependencies for owncloud. I
haven't tried
to install oc yet because the last time I installed oc from

apt-get install owncloud

And I thought maybe that installing all at once may have messed it up. It
looks like mysql has this problem with ubuntu.

The fixes I've found for ubuntu do not work for jessie.

Is there a fix for this with debian jessie?
