[Cialug] jessie apt-get lock out

For whatever reason it would not go into read-only mode until I ran apt-get
update. Trying fsck with different switches would find errors and it seemed
to fix them until rebooted. Run apt-get update and it would do the same
thing all over again. I had this same problem with 2 different uSD cards. I
dd' jessie onto a new(3rd) uSD card this morning and now everything still
working.
I must have had bad cards that caused all this mess.
