[Cialug] 'nother question

My computer has an ir "eye" plugged into the main board headder.  the uart
mode is set to irda, and it does not show as a serial port in linux.  I had
to use the lirc_dev and lirc_it87 modules to get it to work in lirc.  Are
you trying to set this up on a laptop?
