Yes, it is a gas oven.  It does get cleaned, but that doesn't make a
difference.  The burner produces a good blue flame so I don't think it
is incomplete combustion.  Neither of our Carbon Monoxide detectors go
off.

Also, if it is a gas oven, you *might* have an issue with incomplete
combustion or something along those lines. I personally have never had a
gas oven, but my future in-laws had a problem along those lines a long
time ago.
