I only use the trailer twice per year. Once to haul it from my house
to the boat ramp, and once to haul it from the ramp back home. The rest
of the time it's tied up in front of my house:

So the gas used in the truck is tiny. Boat gas, on the other hand,
goes away fast at times. If I were hauling it in and out each time I
used the boat I could see it being an issue, but that would be a royal
pain, how can you get any use out of a boat if you have to haul it to
the lake every time you want to use it? That's like having to take your
computer to an internet hookup every time you want to use it.
