Roses,

I would not suggest dealing with a 6500 at all. It is a _very_ old
computer (Discontinued March 1998) I am surprised that you have
found an ethernet card that supports it at all.

Considering that a used PowerPC Mac Mini goes for about $250 on ebay,
or a brand new Intel Mac Mini goes for $599 (Apple Store) or even a
used lime green iMac for $80 (Ebay), I would strongly suggest
upgrading to something more modern. Your broadband internet
experience will be much better.
