Sounds like a hardware problem since you've trouble shooted it from pretty much every way you can.
Printers generally wear out after two years anyways. Planned obsolescence could be part of it too.
I prefer Canons myself. Not sure why I've not ever been head over heels for Epson. Epson's usually
my second choice with HP a reluctant third choice. I think i like the fact that Canon makes
cameras and printers, so the colors are as closely matched as possible, knock on wood. Good luck
