Did tech support also recommend opening and closing all the windows
and doors in your house too? Maybe cycle all the fuses in your fuse
panel?
When I have seen mixed colors like this, it has usually been mixed
colors. Don't know how it happens, but I once had an HP cartridge
that printed green for blue and yellow. Clearly, this was easy to
determine. If you're getting purple for green though, that's probably
a little different. It might be a Colorsync setting, or an odd driver
or print setting, a corrupt plist possibly. It could be bad hardware
too. I'm so anti-Epson after years of owning and working on them.
They have fantastic color fidelity (usually), though not the best
text output, and hardware has been less than reliable, IMHO.
Two things to try: create a new user, add the printer. Test print. If
the color is wrong, dump all drivers, and .plists and re-install. You
might also try plugging it into another computer and do a test print.
Recent later versions of 10.4 may have the driver already installed.
That would confirm whether or not it's the hardware.
