[DM-MUG] iMac G5 won't mount LaCie 500G external HD

amending == another drive did too = so I think the FW ports are 
failing = both of them, since I tried both of them and changing 
cables and different FW drives and there was only a clippity clop 
sound inside the FW HD when they were plugged in
