That's a good idea.
Also, speaking as one who has run groups like this before....the
members also need to not only express what they want, but express
what they are willing to DO and PRESENT rather than just leave it to
the officers to do all the work.
If not, then you won't get many topical meetings as the officers
can't do it all themselves nor are they experts in all areas.
Present something you've learned, or a question you had and found out
the answer to. Or go the extra step and present something on which
you are knowledgeable or even just interested. Tell the officers
your areas of expertise and interest. Bring up topics you'd like to
hear about and see if anyone knows something.
