[Cialug] CentOS 7 finally EOL'd

Personally, I have always found the upgrade between versions of RHEL like distos to be a iffy thing at best.

Best advice is to have good backups just in case.

The third option is to consider moving away from enterprise linuxes to a different flavor i.e. Debian or Arch et.al.

Looks like it's offically May 31, 2024, .. so need to come up with the
best option for the CentOS 7 prod server I had mentioned a while back.

        Alma - no upgrade from 7 <?>
        RHEL - commercial only ?

Does it make sense to migrate to CentOS Linux 8 to have a platform to them
move to Alma?
