[Cialug] Slightly OR - Interesting DNS problem

Have a couple Win10 VMs on a remote server; updated the premesis network
this AM to a new provider; the router (DNS server for all) is configured
for 1.1.1.1 & 8.8.8.8 .

DNS works fine on the SuSE host:

$ host ibm.com
ibm.com has address 104.72.132.56
ibm.com has IPv6 address 2600:1404:bc00:282::3831
ibm.com mail is handled by 5 mx0a-001b2d01.pphosted.com.
ibm.com mail is handled by 5 mx0b-001b2d01.pphosted.com.

BUT ANY DNS queries on the Win10 VM timeout, .. and the OS does not
recognize the interface as valid due to missing DNS.

It works with a static IP, but Win10 still cannot retrieve DNS.

Check the firewall on the host, DNS is allowed; the host has Samba shares,
and they work fine.

Weird, .. any thoughts would be appreciated!
