Haven't touched SuSE stuff any more than I've had to, but on Ubuntu stuff it's just a matter of running the binary.

When you say it broke the "Nvideo" driver, which one is that? What version were you on? What version are you on now? Broke in what way?

Running OpenSuse 15.4, .. and the last uppdate broke the Nvideo driver
for my 'extra monitor' card:

        nVidia G98 [Quadro NVS 450]     (four port DisplayPort card)

I am assuming that a switch to proprietary drivers is required, but the
docs are a mess. Don't suppose anyone has dealt with it?
