[Cialug] Death of Winblows?

I think I can even challenge the game arena for linux. I have been an
exxclusive desktop linux user at home since about 2005. It is true that
you may need to occasionally fix things that an update may break but it
has been improving steadily. I realize that it only takes so little to
turn this trend around in the bad direction, but a boy can dream, right?
Lately, I have been gaming in linux too. I am not a major gamer by any
means, but steam client is native to linux, and game producers are more
aware of the linux crowd than before. My currently favorite game Valheim
is native to linux and runs without any hiccup. Never tried solutions
like proton, but I am hearing that there is improvement on that front as
well. I used to dual boot before 2005, and I still have a Windows 10 VM
that I can rdp to by remmina for mainly creating PowerPoint
presentations for work, but I find myself using it less and less often.
Windows 11 may have a positive effect on linuxers too.
