With respect to multi-monitor setups, Linux has come a long way. Between
home and work I have five multi-monitor setups (three monitors on my main
work system) and they all work just as well as any Windows multi-monitor
setup that I've used.
And as can be seen with the Print Nightmare debacle Windows has its own
share of problems being introduced by updates. I'm sure we could spend all
day listing other times where Windows updates broke people's systems.
You may be more comfortable dealing with a broken Windows update, but
that's not an inherent advantage of Windows over Linux.
Gaming and VR definitely are still shortcomings on Linux.
