[Cialug] Samba problem

In the process of replacing some Win7 machines with newer Win10 HW, ..

Tried to do a straight copy from workstation to external USB drive, never
completed.

So, added cwrsync and setup a path to grab it from the server.

1) Rsync'd the user directory [Win7] to the Samba server;
2) Tried to use Explorer to restore [Win10] selected files/directories,
but the user on Win10 could not see files on the server!.

 * Login username & Samba username are the same for both;
 * Files are physically present on the server;
 * BUT the Win10 machine cannot SEE the majority of the files in Explorer!
 * Looking at files on the server, it appears that somethingis wonky with
    permissions of the saved files, as they do not respect group write
    permission (setup Samba to map this directory structure to
    share:users).

Anyone know the secret to getting a Win10 user to see files saved by a
Win7 machine? Or, is something else going on?
