If you're running a linux guest with bridged networking on a windows host,
and that host is connected via wifi, it's 50/50 as whether or not the
Virtual box bridge will function.  You'll see this as the inability of the
guest to ping out.

The issue seems to center around both the Viritual Box bridge and the host
machine wifi adapter.  It would absolutely not work with a Netgear USB wifi
adapter in an HP laptop.  It would work with the onboard wifi in an
Alienware laptop.  It worked with the onboard an HP Elite Desk  wifi, but
the interface on the guest would randomly drop out.

One of  the ways I was able to work around it was to get a DLINK  wifi
extender that had an ethernet port. We hardwired into the ethernet port.
Problem solved.
