I'm happy to help organize, but would appreciate a co organizer. I know one Dr who works a lot with brain injuries had a lot of ideas when i asked him about something like this before. We could build small devices to run code and pcs with raspberry pis, etc that could help people in some way, shape, or form.
> I'm sure many others suffer from this too, but it's an extremely helpful project That would be personally life changing for me. I have a brain injury with short term memory loss. I like ios because i don't like to mess with my phone much, if at all, because it takes me awhile to adapt. Ever since i left android phones and had my task list on my home screen there i have had a horrible time keeping up with my list of tasks. I grow used to the reminder sound even if i regularly change it. so i never hear notifications in my pocket from reminders i set. I usually get alarms but those are more forceful and time consuming, when you are out and about. Since i can't rely on the sound, i use alarms for some but it's annoying to change with how it's set up. I would LOVE to be able to place my reminders screen on my home screen. Right now it probably requires a jail break, but this is an example so we can branch off more ideas.
> Here's the original message. It's a grand project but it would be amazing if we could use code and tech, which we play with on a daily basis, for something to give locally, or beynd. Rather than just lining the pockets of corporations with your work and never seeing the end results, you would see direct results on the people.

We could use meeting time for work on it, or we could have people demonstrate skills to the public that they worked with recently on the project. This could keep the group material updated and fresh. Ex: How a specific api works, wtf is git?? svn? Perl? Php? Lxde? Does gnome really suck? How do i use kali Linux? The meaning of life?? (the answer to that last one is a combo of #42, and Linux) :)
> We wouldn't do it for recognition or money. This could keep the group fresh with material, encourage new members to join, be fun as hell, and positively effect society. I know it's a grand scheme, but i think it could really work.
