I loved it until Android P. Now it's a total mess, especially with notifications. Some don't trigger, some trigger late, some trigger multiple times at various intervals after they were supposed to happen. There's at least a 1-second delay before the first picture is taken after opening the camera app (subsequent shots are more acceptable, but still somewhat sporadic). About the only thing I still really like about it is the unlimited full-size photo storage that was included with the Pixel/Pixel XL (original, version 1) phones.

This was a free phone due to a warranty battery issue with my Nexus 6P. Even when the Pixel XL was new (before getting P on my phone), I overall preferred the Nexus 6P. Oh, and the Pixel/2/3 series is very ugly compared to the 6P :-)

I have the pixel2 xl, so far so good. The camera on it performs rather
good, and the new features that they just rolled out including night photo
mode, and call screening are rather nice.

Google fi can be rather schizophrenic at times.
