[Cialug] VDI missing files?

Lost a HD on a server with a VB VM (Win7) last Thursday, .. it was fairly
simple to mount the remaining drive an copy off the VDI. Unfortunately,
the rsync job that ran every night from the Win7 VM appears to have not
run for the two weeks before the drive died [and crashed the machine].

Unfortunately, after mounting that VDI [the 'data' partition' on a
different VM, it looks like it is missing the last week (or more) of files
that have been changed!

Has anyone dealt with this before? Trying now to mount it directly on
Linux to avoid any checking Win7 does on connect, but that doesn't seem
very promsing.
