Someone has to say it:  To prevent that, don't use Firefox for to ogle your
Google calendar.  Bonus:  Have you tried unplugging the network printer?

I was having similar problems with that and Gmail on Firefox on an Ubuntu
virtualbox a year ago, so, and shame on me, I guess, I followed my own
above advice and went back to just using my phone instead.
