Nah, .. no IP has changed in many many years.

One of our folks has been troubleshooting, his conclusing is that the
problem:

session  optional  pam_lastlog.so  silent noupdate showfailed

is caused by the btmp file being 535 MiB due to logs not being rotated.

On the right track now, .. it appears that the log rotation issue came
about when the system was upgraded to systemd.

Interesting scenario, .. talk about an erro chain!
