They let me have my own modem, after they sent a tech out to give me one of
their's and I was sick of the trouble it was giving me. Now I have a modem
in bridge mode and a small dedicated pfsense box with FreeDNS dynamic dns
that I've used for a decade without problem. Mediacom is just weird on this
issue.
