I've also heard bad things about them.

I mainly go for dedicated servers around the world(mostly Europe because
the network traffic is a lot cheaper than the US).

My main choice is OVH.

In terms of customer service(and I've had multiple boxes at each), I rank
them:
OVH (France)
Leaseweb (Netherlands)
Hetzner Auction (Germany)
SoYouStart(owned by OVH..France/Canada)
Online.net (France)
Kimsufi (owned by OVH..France/Canada)

I currently have a OVH box that I love..E5-1620 v2, 64GBs of ram, 4x2TB
drives on a Gbit pipe for $40/month.

I have had major issues with customer service at Online.net and and the
Kimsufi support people are downright rude.
