I have done a little with Go, but also like it a lot; unfortunately, it's
only mainstream in the "cloud" marketplace; a lot of corporate operations
are still in Javaland, with a lot of C# for MS shops.

Of course, it's OS/Compilers; C++ is application level, but all take a
good amount of experience to avoid shooting one's toes off.
