http://www.checktls.com provides a couple of interesting tests for the smtp server.  You can see if and what encryption is used for outgoing and incoming mails.

Both Gandi and Tuffmail accept TLS for incoming mail (non mandatory) but only Tuffmail tries to use TSL for outgoing mail (TLSv1.2).

What's the best way to check the tls/ssl protocol of an android to imap server communication?
