[Cialug] Linux Subsystem for Windows

I am installing the Linux Subsystem for Windows on my Windows 10 work
laptop this morning. I feel so dirty! As is typical with Windows, the
update is running on 45 minutes now and still going. It's on a solid color
screen that says, "Working on updates. Don't turn off your PC. This will
take a while. Your PC will restart several times." Snooze...

I read somewhere that the Linux kernel will have "full access to the raw
hardware" as well as the filesystem. Not sure how much of a problem that
will be.
