[Cialug] Screenshot disparity

Has anyone used <alt>Printscreen with Gnome 3? I am building a instruction
document, .. and there seems to be a disparity in how it operates with the
system clipboard:

 * Printscreen copies the entire screen image to the system clipboard
 * <alt>Printscreen saves the current window properly in <home>
 * BUT <alt>Printscreen copies the ENTIRE screen image to the system
   clipboard, NOT just the window with focus.

Weird?? Has anyone seen a way to copy JUST the current window image to the
clipboard?
