You can setup billing alerts in AWS. Click on your name in the upper right hand side while logged into the AWS console and choose "Billing & Cost Management" then in the next screen choose Preferences and enable "Receive Billing Alters" and then click on the "Manage Billing Alerts" link to set them up.
They have great cost explorer tools that help estimate your projected current month charges.
