Thanks for the tip. I actually have gotten rid of all computers in my house
that have to run all the time, and that limits my choices somewhat. I'm
itching to do a few things that may cause me to reverse this policy though.
If I do I will try out Plex.
I wanted to follow up because my son reminded me that there is an awesome
DLNA client out there - the XBox 360. The video player is a little hidden
because you have to look for the icon that says "system video player." It
still mangles the names but overall it's pretty non-fussy. It even allows
fast-forward, which surprisingly some network players don't support.
