It's not so much about age as how this guy acts... or at least how he writes.  Surely there are crotchety old computer science professors and actual military personnel working at the NSA, and yet this guy uses 1337-speak terminology in his classified presentations.  I don't care if he's 19 or 105, anyone who doesn't respect his colleagues enough to use proper English (I can forgive a preposition at the end of a sentence and all manner of typos, mind you... everyone makes mistakes) shouldn't be doing warrantless information gathering on Americans (just because they aren't supposed to spy on us doesn't mean they aren't, as we have found out over and over again, lately).

That said, I'm only a crotchety old 33.  Which makes me old enough to remember the beginning of the l33tspe4k assault on IRC in the early- to mid-90's, and all the stupid winnuke/dmsetup/OOB junk that was going on when we weren't getting bot floods in every channel with more than 10 users.  This just gives me an unpleasant feeling that the script kiddies of the 90's are now in charge of gathering intelligence for us.

And young people might say exactly to opposite about you: some entitled old dude who still thinks emacs vs. vim is relevant and believes that txt abbreviations are a result of bad spelling wants to second-guess our work.

I’m not saying your point is completely without merit — it’s always useful to have multiple perspectives — but try to dial back the agism a notch. Age is no more a guarantee of relevant wisdom and selfless behavior than youth is a guarantee of health and freedom.
