Below are my notes from the meeting tonight. As always any relationship to
what actually happened at the meeting is purely luck.

KVM install and playing with by Ken

KVM, red hat and centos kernel based machines, www.linux-kvm.org
Need virtualizations on your hardware
Centos easy to install via yum.
Packages: Virtualization is core, virtualization client is all the client
stuff
Platform user space stuff like vishell
Virtualization tools, nice to haves

Virt-manager
Can view the console, using Vnc or spice
Lots of options that you can configure

You can configure the network for the kvm host networking, by default it is
natted

When creating new vm you can bridge network card, but only after you create
it.

Delete, you have the option of keeping the disk around

If ui wigged out, close and reopen...it has happened to Ken before.

Virtsh, need to su or root for it.
 Virsh help gives you help, autostart starts vm with host startup. Create
makes new vm from XML
Destroy stops vm, without graceful tag is like pulling power plug
Reboot... Duh
Shutdown, gracefully shuts down vm
Undefine doesn't delete vm disk by default
List --all list all vm
 Vncdisplay shows which port it is listening on

Virt-install can install from network path and kick starter file
