[Cialug] Corrupt BIOS - fixable?

I was given a Dell Optiplex 740 desktop pc. I wiped the hard drive with
KillDisk. Now, when I start it, the BIOS loads part way and stops. I can't
get to where the ESC key, F10, or F12 works. It won't read a Ubuntu install
disk or a USB stick with a BIOS upgrade. Is this a hardware problem, a bad
BIOS chip? Is it worth taking to a place like Dymin Systems? Thanks.
