 Is the DNS server on the same server as the domain controller? When you
tested connectivity to DNS did you do it from the computer you're trying to
join? Is Active Directory Web Services running on the domain controller? Is
there just one DC? Have you tried manually entering the computer info to
Active Directory? (I'm not sure that would work, but you could maybe try.)
