[Cialug] Unable to remove a directory in RedHat7

Try rebooting in "single" mode, or boot from a live media like TRK (Trinity
Rescue Kit), mount the drive and try deleting the files. TRK uses busybox,
so some commands may not work the way you're used to.

Try a tool like mc (midnight commander).
