No, that's not the point I was trying to make. *ANY* UPS is limited by the
battery capability - it's a finite runtime. A proper backup power system
requires a small amount of UPS time, and an AB power source (e.g. backup
generator) to charge the batteries if utility power is absent.

That's the way I built the system here, and it serves us well;
*especially* once I figure out how to create uninterruptable UPSs (i.e.
PDUs with transfer switches built in so each can use two power sources).
