[Cialug] ddrescue + kpartx = bacon

Quick question - I have a similar problem, however I have tried runing
testdisk, et al, but nothing will create the /dev/ block device. The
partition table is intact and the disk is running, but nothing will
provide the /dev/sd1.

Any chance that was your symptoms, or is this disk toast?
