I'm fine if you think facebook or whomever is the devil. The list is for linux discussion. If the volunteers and hosts have used a platform you don't like then by all means silently boycott the meeting.

Your analogy is dead on arrival.  The apostle Paul's brilliant insight
concerning tools does not apply.  Please don't take it personally as I
dissect the corpse.

A hammer is a tool, but it is not an active agent dubiously endowed
with corporate-style personhood, deep pockets, and a history of
disregarding a great deal of what society has built up over the last
many decades.

A hammer does not dangle a lollipop in my field of view and reach into
my back pocket as I reach for said sweet.

But, if you don't mind your hammer swinging you, then by all means let
it have at you.
