You should be able to verify the computers dns configuration as well as the
other network info by running ipconfig /all from the command prompt. Also
as another test, what happens if you set one of the problem machines to
temporarily do dns statically through a known good dns server like 8.8.8.8.
Finally you could disable the use of netBIOS by following these directions:
