Trying to help a friend setup his home network, and he needs a separate
WiFi setup remotely. Using a regular dLInk WiFi router, I configured it
for a static WAN address on the main router subnet, and set the GW to the
main router.

The weird part - plugging IN the dLink router kills the outboung route?

Have never tried to 'cascade' routers, .. and cannot find anything
pertinent online. Can dLink HW use a private IP on it's WAN IF (it does
nt have a bridget mode)? Why would just plugging in the 2nd router kill
the main network?
