[Cialug] plea for help on Ubuntu 12.10

The non LTS releases of Ubuntu in particular seem like a rushed technology preview not anything I'd upgrade to and if I wanted to upgrade, I'd just clean install. Just be thankful you weren't use an device that requires ATI drivers.
If 12.04 worked, stay on 12.04 till the next LTS release and even then, wait a few months before upgrading. Though, Josh's idea seems like much less headache.
