If they have a web server builtin, would that not be simpler to monitor
via Nagios than configuring SNMP?

Actually, OneWire had a peer link to ITWatchdogs - the MicroGoose looks
like exactly what we need for this application - $200, built-in web server
& email capability, logging, etc.
