Good examples of how to run a desktop system. The most important point
IMO is the use of a light window manager. It's easy to do, so I don't
understand all the grief people feel when their distro packages a
default WM they don't like. Just echo "exec myfavWM" > ~/.xinitrc and
be done with it.
$ time echo "exec myfavWM" > .xinitrc
0m0.00s real 0m0.00s user 0m0.00s system
Took longer to type.
