[Cialug] mythtv + hdhomerun + mediacom

Anyone here succeed in running mythtv with hdhomerun on mediacom? I'm using
schedules direct and getting no guide data which is likely a root problem.
I've followed a few tutorials but things are just out of date enough that I
can't follow them exactly.

I'm running the latest mythbuntu / ubuntu 12.04 and I've used VLC to ensure
that the hdhomerun is working and able to tune channels.
