I assume you have the brackets for normal 3.5" drives (I assume so)?

If so, try the adapter below. We use it for SSDs in some of our Supermicro boxes with 3.5" sleds..

Subject: [Cialug] SOT: Sun spud drive tray adapter for SSDs?

I have a Sun machine I would like to switch to using an SSD in. It uses the Sun spud drive trays for SATA. Right now I have the SSD plugged directly into the backplane and it feels a little 'dangerous'. This appeal is to those with more Sun hardware experience than me.

Is there an adapter for SSDs particularly for these drive sleds?
Does any other manufacturer use identical drive sleds to the Sun Spud?

I'm probably going to end up getting a very short right-angle SATA cable and adapt to the backplane using that if I can't locate some kind of adapter.

Thanks for any pointers or other adaptation techniques.

-Nate
