Hi all,
My home drive on my Debian box is not talking. I removed it and
plugged it into another box with a USB adapter.
Using dmesg output, I get this;

The only thing it does is respond to fdisk and shows the partition table.

fdisk and mount just go to sleep and then come back with an error

e2fsck: Attempt to read block from filesystem resulted in short read
while trying to open /dev/sdb1
Could this be a zero-length partition?

Any suggestions? Could use some of the data on the HD. Forgot to check
backups and they stopped running last Dec due to other issues.
