[Cialug] sata drive bays

I'm definitely gonna use an old server. I've got a dell dual cpu dual
core 2850 laying around. I'm debating on pulling the scsi back plane
out of it and sticking the sata drives in the scsi bays, or using a
reasonably priced external bay.
I was also considering taking a 4u rack chassis that I have and putting
in a pair of these bays:
