[Cialug] vim on cygwin

Yeah.

I just copy the .vimrc file from a Linux system into the other wacky environments. All of those behaviors can be defined in the config file by hand if you wish... or you can just grab one that works.

Subject: [Cialug] vim on cygwin

Why is vim on cygwin so wonky? For example, 'i' for insert mode
doesn't do what I expect it to do. Then even when I do manage to get
into insert mode a backspace doesn't delete the preceding character
and move the cursor.

Anyone have any experience with this? I'm not even quite sure how to
describe what's going wrong.
